A Heritage Ranch
Generations upon generations have cowboyed here, working cattle, working the land. Feeding logging camps and miners. Laughing, loving, living large. Homesteaded nearly a century ago this land has seen Franklin Roosevelt's Civilian Conservation Corp come and go, prayed through World War Two, marveled at the Space Race, and through it all kept on cowboying. No matter how fast the world turns, the seasons abide; springtime and summer, fall and winter. The snows fall, the grass returns, the wind sighing through the pines, cattle lowing in the moonlight. Returning the wave as folks salute you when you go by, sharing the warm friendship of neighbors, it is a rare privilege to live in such a place and bea able to call it home.
The climate is invigorating. Sunny days all year ‘round. In fact most winter days are filled with glorious, bright sunshine. The mean average solar gain on solar panels is 4 - 5 hours per day. So a 3 kilowatt panel installation could produce 15 kilowatts per day of free electricity. The organic grass fed beef on our land produces a lot of smiles around the table. Morning coffee made with fresh, sweet mountain water from the tap - not from a bottle.
